The goal of Soul Care Groups is to create space for slowing down and contemplative listening in order to connect with the Divine, each other, and ourselves.
STRUCTURE
Introductions: Start with brief introductions for the 6-12 people that attend.
Guided Meditation: Somatic grounding practice followed by guided contemplative prayer (lectio divina, visio divina, Ignatian imaginative contemplation, journaling).
Optional Breakout Rooms: time of sharing with 2-3 others, similar to group spiritual direction. We listen to each other with our hearts, in the same way we practice with lectio divina, for a word or phrase that stands out to us, and reflect that back to each other.
If participants would rather continue their time of personal reflection through journaling, they are more than welcome to do so.
Closing: We close together at the end with a blessing or poem.
ALL WELCOME
SoulCare spaces are inspired by practices in the Contemplative Christian tradition, belief in the Triune God, and the belovedness of all people. However they may be entered into with a variety of traditions, beliefs, and perspectives.
No religious background or experience in meditation is needed! You are welcome as you are, and to connect with material using the traditions and Source you draw from in a community of Love.
